Corpus Christi is a coastal city located in the U.S. state of Texas. The city is often referred to as "The Sparkling City by the Sea," particularly in literature promoting tourism.

Various sections of Corpus Christi maintain distinct senses of identity and community from the city proper, especially the Calallen and Flour Bluff areas, and, less prominently, Clarkwood and Annaville. These areas are sometimes mistakenly believed to be separate municipalities. (Information provided by Wikipedia .)

Utility Project To Temporarily Affect Traffic Along Stretch Of Wooldridge Road
08/01/08

The City of Corpus Christi Traffic Engineering office advises residents that on Monday, August 4, 2008, weather permitting, the ongoing Wooldridge Road Improvement Project will require temporarily closing one lane of traffic to allow the cleaning of sanitary lines.

The closure will be along Wooldridge between Staples Street and Cimarron Boulevard. During this phase of the project, eastbound and westbound traffic on Wooldridge will be reduced to just one shared lane through the work site. Crews will begin at the intersection of Staples and Wooldridge, and will move to the next intersection as work is completed. Flaggers will be present to help safely guide and assist motorists through the work area. This project is expected to continue for approximately two weeks.

Traffic control devices will guide traffic through the construction site. While the work is underway, motorists should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the area if possible. Motorists are also advised to observe all construction warning signs and barricading for their safety and that of construction crews. Access to local driveways will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
